Aerosmith’s recordings between 1973 and 1986 will be made available on Apple’s iTunes for the first time, on September 6th, according to myfoxdetroit.com.
While Aerosmith’s more recent records are currently obtainable on the digital music service, a deal had not yet been agreed for the band’s earlier material.
Due to Steven Tyler's other job as one of the judges on American Idol, Aerosmith’s album sales saw a boom of 260 percent in the weeks following his appearance on the show, according to the Hollywood Reporter. His new deal with the show is likely to bring in millions of dollars for the band, according to music industry sources.
Recordings now set to be made available include the 1975 classic Toys in the Attic, featuring Walk This Way and Sweet Emotion.
